A recent survey conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) provides new insight into how Americans view the growing Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement. The May 6, 2026, poll found that 41% of U.S. adults support the MAHA agenda, highlighting a significant level of public interest in health-related reforms. Regardless, the findings also reveal that many Americans prioritize broader healthcare concerns over some of the issues most closely associated with the movement.
The MAHA movement has been praised for gaining national attention through its focus on public health issues such as food additives, agricultural pesticides, and chronic disease prevention. In their survey findings, KFF reported that , “Among MAHA-supporting voters, just over half say they “strongly” support the movement (55%) and 45% say they “somewhat” support it, translating to about one in four voters overall as strong MAHA supporters (24%) and one in five who “somewhat” support it (19%).”
Healthcare costs are a leading issue as the midterm elections approach. Fifty-five percent of individuals polled said that issue will affect how they vote. For an administration facing scrutiny over current political and world events, the MAHA movement’s next steps could tip the scale either way toward election outcomes for either political party. Despite political differences, both sides were equally united on the importance of making changes in current policies that affect the health and well-being of Americans.
