When you join, we create a unique Sharing Account for your Membership. These are real bank accounts that are funded by your contributions; we call this the Virtual Share Exchange. When you have eligible medical expenses, other Members’ contributions are assigned to share into your costs. When all the funds are accounted for and received, sufficient to meet your expenses, America’s HealthShare sends a check directly to your provider on your behalf. You will then receive an “Explanation of Sharing” verifying payment to each provider.
